Which Restaurants in Northern Virginia Have Mold, Failed Inspections and Health Violations

The most important thing you can do is have an air quality test, whether you are a renter, homeowner or commercial business leasee or owner. Compared to the years of health risks and complications the cost of doing a single test is ridiculously low (like $135 or less).

If you are not aware of how mold gets into your home here are some common ways: Recent severe storm (wind and rain), Construction defects, Poor filtration in HVAC, Plumbing problems, Improper insulation, ventilation or grading, Basement floods or leaks, Roof /ceiling leaks, through the air and more.

Exposure to a large number of mold spores may cause allergic symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itching, coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, headache, and fatigue.

If you're wondering what percentage of homes have mold, the answer is around 70%. This is a terrifying statistic for homeowners

Counties with restaurants who have failed inspections, some of those is from mold:

These inspection reports are available electronically at the following website: https://inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/virginia. From this web page, simply click on the “District Sites” link, and then select the health district where the facility is located.

Although the web page is called the “Restaurant Inspections,” it is not limited to restaurants. The VDH publishes the inspection reports for almost every facility where food is prepared and served, such as schools, daycare centers, adult living facilities, gyms, public and private clubs, hospitals, nursing homes, colleges, and correctional centers.
